Seoul, South KoreaNaver D2SF, the startup investment arm of South Korean tech giant Naver, has made new investments in two North American artificial intelligence startups, the company said on Tuesday.

The investments were made in Claythis, a generative AI-based 3D content creation startup, and YesPlz, a fashion-focused multimodal AI development startup.

Both companies have developed competitive products using cutting-edge AI technology and are preparing for full-scale business operations.

Claythis has developed an AI solution that generates high-quality 3D characters and motions.

The company plans to officially launch its solution by the end of this year, targeting small and medium-sized game studios.

YesPlz has created a multimodal AI model optimized for fashion product search and recommendations.

Through beta testing, the company has already secured several customers, including W.Concept, Kolon Mall, and The Handsome.

Naver D2SF did not disclose the funding amounts or valuations for these investments.

"In the rapidly changing AI industry, it's crucial to sense what the market needs in advance and quickly implement it in product form," said Sanghwan Yang, head of Naver D2SF.

Naver D2SF said it continues to scout and invest in startups regardless of their location, focusing on the value of technology.

The firm plans to conduct open recruitment for new investment teams through its website in September.
