Seoul, South Korea - Naver announced on April 17, 2026, that it has added 495 golf courses to its coordinate-based Theme Weather forecasting service, bringing the total number of supported locations to 567.

The service uses latitude and longitude coordinates to provide ultra-short-term forecasts for precipitation, wind speed, and humidity. For golf courses, the system also issues alerts for fog and poor visibility.

Theme Weather incorporates Naver’s HyperCLOVA X artificial intelligence model to generate hourly briefings on environmental variables, clothing recommendations, and shot strategies. It also offers three- to eight-day advance forecasts to assist with reservation planning.

The service previously expanded to cover baseball stadiums in August 2025, theme parks and ski resorts in December 2025, and football stadiums in February 2026.

It currently covers 20 baseball stadiums, nine theme parks, 13 ski resorts, 30 football stadiums, and 495 golf courses.

As of April 17, Theme Weather had recorded 2.8 million cumulative page views and more than 85,000 total subscribers.

Jamsil Baseball Stadium reported the highest subscription rate, with over 14,000 users.

Naver stated that it plans to add a hiking category covering 100 major mountains within the first half of the year.
