Naver-Kurly Partnership: South Korean eCommerce Giants Join Forces

Naver Corporation and Kurly form strategic alliance to enhance their e-commerce offerings with fresh food focus and expanded customer reach

Seoul, South Korea—Naver Corporation and retail technology company Kurly announced on Friday that they have established a strategic partnership to strengthen their e-commerce operations.

Under the partnership, Naver will provide users with access to Kurly's premium product information, including information on fresh food items. 

Kurly will expand its service reach to a broader customer base, including Naver users.

The companies plan to develop comprehensive collaborations in the e-commerce sector and announce new cooperative initiatives within the year.

"We expect Naver's shopping ecosystem to become more robust through this partnership with Kurly, which has distinctive curation capabilities in the fresh food sector," said Naver CEO Soo Yeon Choi.

Choi added that the companies will focus on enhancing shopping experiences and strengthening user benefits through their collaborative services.

Kurly CEO Sophie Kim described the partnership as optimal, noting that both companies possess distinct competitive advantages that are difficult for other platforms to replicate.

"We hope this business alliance will allow more customers to experience quality products and excellent service," Kim said.

The partnership represents a significant development in South Korea's competitive e-commerce landscape.

It brings together Naver's extensive user base with Kurly's specialized offerings in premium and fresh food products.
