Seoul, South Korea—Naver will introduce its new AI Briefing service.

The service will be available to all users through its search platform without requiring additional registration.

It will be accessible via PC and mobile search interfaces.

The AI Briefing service incorporates generative AI and personalization technologies, offering content in several formats tailored to specific use cases.

These include Official/Multi-source, Short Content, Place, and Shopping briefings, each with interfaces optimized for their respective functions.

According to Naver, the service maintains existing search functionality while enhancing the connection between users and content sources.

The company expects the new offering to benefit its 40 million users and increase visibility for 330,000 small and medium enterprises.

The Official/Multi-source format displays concise information summaries at the top of search results for queries with definitive answers or those requiring content exploration.

This format covers practical information such as document requirements for license renewals, explanations of trending terms, and entertainment content summaries.

The Short Content format summarizes recommended content and suggests related information based on user interests in sports, beauty, and travel categories.

The Place format assists with location-based information exploration.

It initially focuses on Japanese destinations like Osaka and Kyoto before expanding to other international locations.

The service categorizes content by themes such as local cuisine and accommodation options.

The Shopping format, already introduced on March 12 through the Naver Plus Store application, provides product information summaries and purchasing guidance.

Naver plans to expand AI Briefing functionality throughout the year, adding multimodal image search capabilities and support for English and Japanese languages.
