Naver Pay Launches VR Real Estate Tours for Virtual Viewing

Seoul, South Korea—Naver Financial, operator of Naver Pay, announced on Tuesday that it has unveiled a virtual reality (VR) service for exploring apartment complexes and individual units.

The "Real Estate VR Property and Complex Tour" utilizes 3D digital twin technology to replicate apartment complexes and interiors online. 

Users can virtually navigate properties, check seasonal sunlight exposure, and measure interior dimensions.

The service employs ALIKE, a proprietary AI-based 3D digital twin solution developed by Naver Labs. 

It combines drone and 360-degree camera mapping with AI technology to convert 2D images into 3D reconstructions.

Currently available for five complexes and about 50 properties in Seoul Metropolitan areas, Naver Financial plans to expand to 30 complexes and 1,000 monthly property listings by year-end.

The VR tour feature is accessible via Naver Pay's real estate platform on both mobile and PC. 

Naver Financial aims to collaborate with real estate partners and brokers to increase the availability of VR-enabled property information.
