Seoul, South Korea - Naver announced the addition of VTuber, a 3D avatar live streaming feature, to its globally leading PRISM Live Studio mobile app.

The new feature marks the first mobile implementation of the VRM (Virtual Reality Model) format in the streaming industry, enabling users to broadcast 3D avatar content from any location.

PRISM Live Studio, launched in March 2019, serves users in over 200 countries.

At least 50,000 daily users generate 100,000 live streams across platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and Naver's services.

The VTuber feature allows users to import VRM files without additional equipment, representing a significant advancement from previous PC-only streaming capabilities.

The platform integrates with VRoidHub to provide expanded avatar options.

"We expect content to become more diverse as 3D live streaming becomes accessible without specialized equipment," said Ji-cheol Song, PRISM Studio development leader, adding that the team will continue developing technologies to support content creator needs.

Users can customize avatar positioning, size, movement sensitivity, lighting, and backgrounds during broadcasts.

The system supports real-time facial expression mapping and enhanced emotional expressions, including joy, happiness, anger, sorrow, and fun.
