Seoul, South Korea - NAVER Corporation announced today that its streaming platform CHZZK reached 2.5 million monthly active users (MAU) in November, marking significant growth in its first year of operation.

NAVER said at a partner meeting held at NAVER 1784 that the platform has accumulated 4.82 million total broadcasts since its launch in December 2023 and has secured 148 partner streamers.

The service progressed through several development stages, including a beta launch in February 2024 and an official release in May 2024.

It introduced features like bypass streaming for improved viewing quality, text-to-speech using partner streamers' voices, quick replay options, and a "drops" function.

NAVER reported that CHZZK's Clip service, implemented during its official launch in May 2024, saw significant growth.

Playback and creation rates increased by 82% and 74%, respectively, compared to the previous month.

In 2025, NAVER plans to enhance streamer monetization by integrating CHZZK with its Smart Store e-commerce platform.

This will allow content creators to sell merchandise directly through their channels.

The company will also modify its subscription benefits, including new tier-2 subscriber recognition features.

NAVER is expanding its content creator support program, increasing the maximum annual funding from KRW 30 million (US$20,894) per project to a total of KRW 120 million (US$83,576) per creator annually, with application opportunities increasing from four to six times per year.

The company announced plans to extend support to professional-grade and partner streamers starting in the second half 2025. It will establish a specialized "Motion Stage" studio for virtual content creators.
