NCSOFT Expands Global Gaming Portfolio with Strategic Deals

Pangyo, South Korea—NCSOFT announced today that it has secured global publishing agreements with developers in South Korea and Poland, extending its international reach through investments in domestic and overseas game studios.

NCSOFT acquired global publishing rights, excluding China, for "TIME TAKERS," a PC and console third-person time-survival shooter developed by Korean studio Mistil Games. 

The game was first teased at G-Star's G-CON in 2023 and is scheduled for release in 2025.

Mistil Games, established in 2022 by co-CEOs Yongsoo Seo and Yongmin Cho, is also developing another title: GRAY, an online action-adventure game. 

NCSOFT has secured an equity stake in the Korean studio through this investment.

In a parallel agreement, NCSOFT obtained global publishing rights for Band of Crusaders, a strategy RPG set in the European Middle Ages developed by the Polish studio Virtual Alchemy. 

Founded in 2022, Virtual Alchemy specializes in RPGs and is known for combining roguelike, real-time strategy, and dark fantasy elements.

"NCSOFT is making strategic investments both home and abroad to drive growth by expanding into new regions, genres, and platforms," said NCSOFT's co-CEO Byungmoo Park in a statement. "Our goal is to enrich our global pipeline with fresh IPs and bring high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide."

NC Soft recently invested in Moon Rover Games, a Swedish company with a competitive edge in shooting games, and VIC GAME STUDIOS, a South Korean developer known for its subculture-themed games, to strengthen its portfolio, expand into the global market, and enhance its competitiveness.
