Rakuten Launches AI-Powered Interview Service for Market Research

Tokyo, Japan - Rakuten Group has launched an AI-powered interview service on its micro-tasking platform Rakuten Super MicroJob. 

This new offering is designed to streamline qualitative market research, reducing costs and time to completion.

The new "AI Chat Interview" service enables companies to conduct automated, in-depth interviews with Rakuten platform users. 

It replaces traditional human interviewers with AI chatbots that can probe responses for detailed information.

The service guarantees delivery of research results within five business days. 

Pricing is set at JPY 400,000 for 50 respondents and JPY 600,000 for 100 respondents, excluding tax.

Each AI-conducted interview lasts up to 10 minutes and can be structured to align with various research frameworks, including customer journey mapping, concept evaluation, and category entry point analysis.

The platform automatically generates interview summaries and can handle up to 10,000 screening surveys, enabling the identification of suitable respondents for each research project.

Rakuten states that the service will leverage its extensive user base to provide new solutions across various fields. 

However, it acknowledges that specification changes in external services could affect availability.
