Seoul, South Korea - The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Korea Startup Forum launched COMEUP 2024, South Korea's most extensive global startup conference, at COEX in Seoul on Wednesday under the theme "Innovation Beyond Borders."

The two-day event, running through December 12, features approximately 260 startups, more than half of which are international companies from over 40 countries.

The United Arab Emirates, India, Japan, and Sweden have established national pavilions at the event.

COMEUP 2024 focuses on three core areas: deep technology, inbound business, and sustainable startup innovation.

The exhibition includes dedicated zones for deep tech sectors such as big data, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology.

The event's "Startup Valley" program includes public IR pitching sessions across three divisions: Rookie League, Runners League, and Rocket League.

The conference features "Future Talk" sessions with specialized tracks for beginners, experts, and founders.

The opening ceremony featured speeches from Yoon Chan, CEO of EverX, which won an innovation award at CES 2024, and Sina Albanese, CEO of Koralo, winner of the K-Startup Grand Challenge 2022.

Minister Oh Young-ju delivered a keynote address highlighting plans to position South Korea among the global top four venture investment nations.

Twenty international startups showcase their innovations in the "Startup Korea Enterprise Zone." The event also includes programs such as startup exhibitions, conferences, keynote speeches, IR pitching sessions, open innovation programs, and legal consultations for startups.

The ministry announced that approximately 70 international venture capital representatives are attending to scout innovative startups.

The conference includes collaborative sessions between startups and public institutions, global corporations, and major companies scheduled for December 12.

COMEUP 2024 is open to the public through on-site registration.

Major events are broadcast live on the official YouTube channel.
