Seoul, South Korea – The Korea International Trade Association has announced that the NextRise 2024 event will take place in Seoul on June 13-14 at COEX in Gangnam-gu.

Co-hosted by the trade association and the Korea Development Bank, the event has designated Japan as its inaugural guest country under a recently introduced system designed to foster international collaboration.

Prominent Japanese companies, including Mitsubishi, Mizuho, Sony, Rakuten, and Incubate Fund, will attend the fair, as will approximately 30 startups and business organizations such as the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Japan Association of Corporate Executives.

The event aims to provide a forum for innovative startups from South Korea and Japan to exchange ideas and explore potential avenues for business collaboration.

The main stage will host a Korea-Japan Open Innovation Summit, during which major companies and startups from both countries will engage in discussions.

Furthermore, Lotte Ventures will facilitate sessions on venture capital cooperation between the two nations, while JETRO will host an exchange meeting on Korea-Japan ecosystems.

The event will attract over 60 global corporations, including luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, aircraft manufacturer Airbus, automotive manufacturer Renault, and semiconductor manufacturer Intel.

Additionally, over 160 investment firms, domestic companies, and investors are anticipated to attend.
