Samsung Electronics America and the New York Mets have made history by installing the giant scoreboard in a professional ballpark at Citi Field.

With the start of the baseball season, fans can expect a fully upgraded, double-sided center field video board that features a 17,400-square-foot LED screen on the front and 6,900 square feet on the back.

First unveiled at the Mets’ “What’s New at Citi Field” event on March 23, the scoreboard is part of several digital display upgrades throughout the ballpark.

This state-of-the-art display experience ensures that fans won’t miss any action on the field.

Since the partnership began in 2021, Samsung has worked with the Mets to transform Citi Field into the most technologically advanced ballpark.

The second phase, which will be fully operational by Opening Day on April 6, will include new outfield scoreboards, bringing the total number of pixels in the stadium to 40 million.

The new LED technology also provides digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising opportunities, creating unique fan experiences and supporting the local economy.

The 17,400-square-foot high-definition video display ensures that fans can’t miss the action, no matter where they are in the stadium.

These enhancements provide fans with a more immersive and memorable experience and position Citi Field as an industry leader.
