Samsung Electronics America has received two 2023 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Awards from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

These awards recognize Samsung’s commitment to sustainability, environmental protection, and energy efficiency in its products and operations.

The company received its tenth Sustained Excellence Award for Product Brand Owner, recognizing its contributions to developing energy-efficient products.

Samsung also received its first Sustained Excellence Award for Energy Management, recognizing its achievements in operational energy efficiency.

Samsung is the only company to receive two 2023 Partner of the Year Awards.

These awards demonstrate Samsung’s commitment to improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The ENERGY STAR program annually recognizes a select group of companies and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the transition to a clean energy economy.

Samsung’s comprehensive environmental strategy includes company-wide net-zero and 100% renewable energy goals.

By 2030, the company aims to reduce the power consumption of its home appliances, mobile devices, and consumer electronics products by an average of 30% compared to similar products launched in 2019.

By 2022, Samsung will have 474 ENERGY STAR-certified base models in the U.S., including dishwashers, laptops, air purifiers, front-load washers, and most refrigerators. Since 2009, Samsung’s global product efficiency improvements have helped customers avoid an estimated 334 million metric tons of CO2 emissions.
