Samsung Knox Achieves German Security Certification for Enterprise

Seoul, South Korea / Berlin, Germany - Samsung Electronics' Knox Native Solution has received certification from Germany's Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), marking the platform's entry into European government-grade security solutions.

The company said the mobile security platform, developed in collaboration with BSI, creates a secure environment on Samsung devices without requiring external hardware or multiple authentication steps.

The solution features an embedded Secure Element certified at Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 6+, establishing a dedicated security zone for protecting sensitive communications.

Samsung's Knox platform is the first Android-based solution to meet BSI's strict security standards, having already received certifications from government bodies in Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The certification enables streamlined deployment of secure devices for government and enterprise users in Germany, with only app updates requiring new approvals.
