Orlando, FL—Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics unveiled their latest heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions at the 2025 AHR Expo in Orlando, Florida.

The exhibition showcased new technologies focused on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Samsung Electronics presented its Hylex universal inverter-driven heat pumps for residential applications.

The system offers installation flexibility by utilizing refrigerant piping and is compatible with most 24VAC thermostats.

The Hylex product line, available in Premium, Deluxe+, and Deluxe series, incorporates built-in Wi-Fi connectivity for SmartThings integration.

Samsung's EHS Mono water-heating solution pairs a ClimateHub or Hydro indoor unit with an EHS Mono HT outdoor unit.

The system operates within a temperature range of -13°F to 95°F (-25°C to 35°C) and achieves water temperatures up to 158°F (70°C).

Its flash injection compressor technology enables noise levels as low as 35 dB(A) at three meters in low noise mode.

LG Electronics introduced its Residential Cold Climate Heat Pump, which received the 2025 AHR Innovation Award in the Sustainable Solutions category.

The system operates in temperatures as low as -35 degrees Celsius (-31 degrees Fahrenheit) and features Heating functionality to prevent pipe freezing by maintaining an approximate temperature of 10 degrees Celsius.

In the commercial segment, Samsung's DVM S2 Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system employs high- and low-pressure control mechanisms that reduce compressor energy consumption by 15 percent.

The system achieves a 28 percent reduction in overall system charge through reduced liquid pipe diameters.

LG unveiled its Multi V i VRF solution, which utilizes R32 refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential 675.

This solution addresses new regulatory requirements.

The company also presented its Oil-Free Inverter Centrifugal Chiller, featuring LeviTech magnetic bearing technology compatible with low-GWP refrigerants, including R513A, R1233zd, and R1234ze.

The AHR Expo, held from February 10 to 12 at the Orange County Convention Center, is co-sponsored by the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
