Samsung Unveils AI-Driven Home Strategy at CES 2025

Samsung Electronics reveals comprehensive AI integration across products, expands SmartThings ecosystem, and announces key partnerships.

Las Vegas, NV - Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) unveiled its "AI for All" vision at CES 2025, integrating artificial intelligence integration across its product ecosystem and connected home technologies.

The South Korean technology giant announced its Home AI strategy, which aims to deliver personalized experiences through AI-enabled devices. 

The initiative includes enhanced security features through Samsung Knox Matrix, extending protection to home appliances using blockchain technology.

Samsung's updated One UI software will support connected devices for up to seven years, while its SmartThings platform introduces new AI capabilities, including Ambient Sensing technology that analyzes human movements and environmental sounds to adapt to user routines.

The company revealed that its Bixby Voice assistant has been enhanced with individual voice recognition capabilities. 

Samsung's Flex-Connect energy program, previously available in New York and California, will expand to select regions in Texas in 2025.

In the computing segment, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360, featuring Intel Core Ultra Processors (Series 2). 

These AI PCs include features such as AI Select for browsing optimization and Samsung Studio for cross-device editing capabilities.

Samsung's display technology advances include the Neo QLED 8K with AI upscaling features. 

The company is expanding screen integration across its appliance line, introducing 9-inch AI Home displays in refrigerators and 7-inch screens in other devices.

Samsung announced SmartThings Pro, a B2B solution launched in June 2024 for business applications. 

The company has partnered with Samsung Heavy Industries to develop SmartThings for Ships, implementing Matter connectivity standards for maritime applications.

In the automotive sector, Samsung announced a partnership with Hyundai Motor Group to integrate SmartThings with Hyundai EVs, enabling features such as SmartThings Find for vehicle location and AI-powered charging recommendations.

The company reported that its Samsung Solve for Tomorrow program reaches over 2.6 million students across 66 countries. 

At the same time, Samsung Innovation Campus has trained approximately 180,000 young people in 33 countries in emerging technologies.

According to company officials, Samsung's Global Goals app, developed in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has generated over $20 million in funding through nearly 300 million Galaxy device users.
