Seoul, South Korea—Samsung Electronics launched its Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and S10+ tablets on Monday.

These are the company's first tablets purpose-built for artificial intelligence (AI), with significant upgrades in processing power and display technology.

The new devices feature 14.6-inch and 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, respectively, both of which offer 120Hz refresh rates and anti-reflection technology.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra boasts performance upgrades, including an 18% increase in CPU, 28% increase in GPU, and 14% increase in NPU compared to its predecessor, while the S10+ sees improvements of 16%, 27%, and 13%, respectively.

Both models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, departing from Samsung's traditional use of Qualcomm processors in its high-end tablets.

The Ultra model offers up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, while the S10+ has 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. Both support microSD expansion up to 1.5TB.

Both models' camera setups include a 13MP main and 8MP ultra-wide on the rear, with the Ultra featuring dual 12MP front cameras compared to the S10+'s single 12MP ultra-wide front camera.

Both tablets have an IP68-rated S Pen stylus and introduce new AI-powered features such as Note Assist for automated transcriptions and summaries and Drawing Assist for creative tasks.

The tablets also function as home AI devices, offering a 3D Map View for SmartThings-enabled device management.

Connectivity options are robust, with both models supporting 5G, Wi-Fi 7 (Ultra) or Wi-Fi 6E (S10+), and Bluetooth 5.3.

The Ultra packs an 11,200mAh battery, while the S10+ features a 10,090mAh battery. Both support 45W fast charging.

Samsung emphasized the tablets' security features, including Samsung Knox and Advanced Intelligence settings that allow users to disable online data processing.

Both models feature an under-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

The Galaxy Tab S10 series will be available in select markets starting October 3 in Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver.

Pricing details were not disclosed in the press release.

MC Lee, VP at Samsung Electronics, stated, "The Galaxy Tab S10 series is Samsung's first tablet built with AI enhancements available right out of the box, and it's the latest addition to the Galaxy AI family."

With the new tablets, Samsung aims to expand its connected experience and third-party app ecosystem, offering access to productivity and creativity apps like GoodNotes, LumaFusion, Noteshelf 3, Clip Studio Paint, Picsart, and Sketchbook.

The company also highlighted the tablets' durability.

They feature Armor Aluminum construction and maintain the IP68 water and dust resistance rating of their predecessors.
