Seoul, South Korea - A delegation of Saudi Arabian officials, including Riyadh Mayor Faisal bin Ayyaf, visited Naver Corp's (035420. KS) headquarters in South Korea on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, to explore digital twin technology and other future tech solutions, the company announced.

The visit, which coincides with the upcoming Seoul Smart Life Week scheduled for October 14-18, 2024, included executives from NHC, Balady, Riyadh Holding Company (RHC), and Remat Advanced.

CEO Choi Soo-yeon and representatives from external affairs, ESG policy, Naver Cloud, and Naver Labs represented Naver.

Naver, which began working on a digital twin platform project in Saudi Arabia in July 2024, demonstrated various advanced technologies in its '1784' building

The Saudi officials discussed potential applications for their digital twin platform and explored long-term collaboration opportunities.

NHC and Balady, key partners in Saudi Arabia's digital twin platform initiative, were among the visiting delegations.

Balady, a major public platform in Saudi Arabia, provides various services including information from the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, civil applications, and navigation services.

Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia and the future location of Naver's Middle East hub is undergoing several large-scale development projects as part of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 plan.

The visiting officials expressed particular interest in how Naver's technologies could be applied to these ongoing initiatives.

Naver is collaborating with Korea Water Resources Corporation and LX to develop core services such as urban planning and flood simulation based on the digital twin platform.

The project officially commenced in July 2024 and involves detailed mapping and precise 3D modeling to construct the digital twin platform.
