Tokyo, Japan — SB Technology Corp. (SBT) recently unveiled a novel service, designated "SaaS Patrol," designed to assist companies in effectively managing and monitoring their SaaS usage.

The service's objective is to streamline the management of SaaS for IT and security personnel, thereby reducing the associated security risks.

SaaS Patrol provides a centralized management solution for SaaS and tenants, enabling companies to transition away from inefficient management methods such as Excel spreadsheets.

Moreover, the system is capable of identifying inactive user accounts.

The service's email-based detection feature identifies users utilizing prohibited or unauthorized services, commonly called shadow IT, to promote proper usage and reduce security risks.

SBT offers a complimentary trial of all SaaS Patrol features for one month.

The service was developed in response to the growing prevalence of SaaS among companies, driven by several factors, including remote work and digitalization.

Nevertheless, a survey conducted by SBT revealed that 48.4% of respondents demonstrated only partial comprehension or no comprehension of their organization's SaaS usage.

SaaS Patrol is designed to address this challenge by providing a centralized management solution for SaaS usage within organizations.

The service is priced at JPY 8,000 per month (excluding tax), with no user limitations for the basic features.

SBT has announced plans to introduce additional features, including workflow and inventory management, in the fall of 2024.

Moreover, the company has announced plans to integrate with cloud and security solutions offered by the company.
