SK Hynix First to Secure TISAX Auto Security Certification

Seoul, South Korea - SK hynix has obtained TISAX certification for its domestic facilities in Icheon, Bundang, and Cheongju. 

The memory manufacturer is the first in its industry to receive this automotive information security certification.

TISAX, operated by the ENX Association based on German Automotive Industry Association standards, aims to standardize information security across the automotive industry supply chain.

The certification validates SK Hynix's security capabilities, which the global automotive industry requires. 

This development aligns with the company's strategy to advance high-performance memory solutions for AI-based automotive technology.

The certification addresses security requirements for semiconductors in automotive safety systems, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, brake systems, and engine control. 

Electronic components are becoming more prominent in vehicles as electric vehicles and connected car technology expand.

SK hynix's certification enables security assessment sharing with suppliers, which may reduce duplicate certification costs. 

The certification is a mandatory requirement proposed by global automotive customers.
