Socar and Naver Launch Integrated Car-sharing in South Korea

Seoul, South Korea - Socar (403550. KS) and NAVER Corporation (035420. KS) have partnered to offer car-sharing services via Naver's digital platform.

Users of the Naver platform can now access Socar's 22,000 vehicles at 5,000 locations without a separate app. 

The service enables users to search for, reserve, pay for, and utilize vehicles through the Naver interface.

The collaboration resulted from a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by the two companies in 2023.

Naver has integrated Socar's API, enabling user identity and license verification through its application.

Socar CEO Jaeuk Park asserted that the partnership's objective is to enhance the accessibility of car-sharing services.

The companies anticipate an expansion of their user base and further collaboration in the field of mobility services.

A 10,000 Naver Pay points promotional offer is available for users until August 20.
