Tokyo, Japan - SoftBank Corp announced on Friday the beta release of 'satto,' a generative AI agent designed to make artificial intelligence more accessible to a broader audience.

The Japanese telecommunications giant will begin accepting registrations for limited early users on August 23. The service will gradually roll out from September.

'Satto' aims to simplify AI usage for freelancers, company employees, and students who find it challenging to utilize generative AI effectively.

The service can automate work processes by connecting large language models (LLMs) and external tools such as SaaS.

Key features of 'satto' include the ability to use generative AI without writing prompts, build custom skills by linking various applications, and share created skills with other users.

SoftBank is positioning 'satto' as a partner to help users execute tasks with simple operations. The company plans to improve the service based on user feedback, with early adopters designated "Co-Creators."

Taku Hiraoka, Head of the iPaaS Business Development Division at SoftBank Corp, stated,

"We are developing 'satto' intending to provide a service that allows anyone to easily use generative AI, regardless of their ability to master it."

The beta version is currently available for Mac OS users with Google accounts.

SoftBank has yet to announce corporate contract plans for the service.

Through 'satto,' SoftBank aims to improve social productivity by utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI.
