South Korea's Beauty Platform Gangnam Unni Launches Thai Language Service

Seoul, South Korea - Medical beauty platform operator Healing Paper announced the Thai-language version of its global service on November 5, expanding its cross-border healthcare information platform, "UNNI."

The platform, which connects international users with Korean dermatology and plastic surgery clinics, has attracted users from 104 countries, including Vietnam, the United States, and Singapore, since its global launch in December last year.

Healing Paper CEO Seung-il Hong said the Thai launch significantly addresses global healthcare information asymmetry. 

The company chose Thailand as its second overseas market, following Japan, citing strong user demand and Thai consumers' high interest in K-culture and medical beauty.

The company's Japanese service, launched in November 2019, has facilitated over 300,000 consultations from 1.2 million Japanese users. 

In December 2020, Gangnam Unni expanded its Japanese operations to include information on 1,400 local medical facilities.

The new Thai service will automatically display in Thai for users with Thai-language smartphone settings. 

The company plans to strengthen its presence in Thailand through medical tourism concierge services and offline consultation events with South Korean doctors.

Gangnam Unni currently serves 6.7 million users, providing information and reviews for approximately 3,700 medical beauty facilities across South Korea and Japan.
