Moloco, a machine learning (ML) and growth solutions provider for performance marketers, has appointed Tal Shaked its first Chief Machine Learning Fellow.

Shaked has extensive experience building ML solutions, including at Google and Snowflake.

Shaked and Moloco CEO Ikkjin Ahn first worked together in 2009, when Ahn was at YouTube and Shaked was at Google.

Ahn’s team was the first to successfully deploy Sibyl, an ML platform founded by Shaked in 2007 that became one of Google's most widely deployed ML systems in 2015.

Later, Shaked led teams at Google Ads focused on maximizing ad value through targeting, bidding, and creative automation.

While serving as an ML architect at Snowflake, Shaked developed an overarching ML vision, strategy, and execution plan and worked with ML partners and clients. “Moloco is a rare company with both the vision and capabilities to deliver ML-powered applications that solve high-value customer problems,” Shaked said.

Moloco’s mission is to make the digital economy more equitable and profitable by providing advanced machine learning to companies of all sizes.

With its ML platform for growth and performance, app publishers and online retailers can unlock the value of their unique first-party data.

Founded in 2013 by a team of former Google machine learning engineers, Moloco is headquartered in Redwood City, California, with nine offices worldwide.

A former professional chess player, Shaked became a grandmaster and won the World Junior Chess Championship in 1997.
