Tokyo, Japan - The Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced plans to host an upgraded version of its startup conference, "SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025," in May next year.

"SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025," scheduled for May 8-10, 2025, is being billed as an upgraded version of one of Asia's largest startup conferences.

The event, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight and other venues, is part of the city's broader "Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo" initiative, which seeks to address urban challenges through technology.

According to the press release, the conference will expand its physical footprint, securing 1.3 times more venue space than the previous year's event.

This expansion aligns with the organizers' goal of fostering more opportunities for business negotiations, potentially leading to increased collaboration and investment in the startup sector.

The event's program will be enriched with initiatives to create innovation and discuss the future of cities.

These include exhibitions of cutting-edge technologies that offer insights into urban development and hands-on experiences for attendees.

In a new development, the 2025 edition will introduce a "Public Day" on May 10, designed to engage citizens and young people with startups and advanced technologies.

This addition reflects an effort to broaden the event's impact beyond the business community.

The conference will also feature a meeting of senior officials from cities worldwide, scheduled from May 7 to 9, highlighting its international scope.

While specific details remain forthcoming, the organizers have indicated plans to strengthen the student-led "ITAMAE" team, which plays a role in event organization.

This move underscores an emphasis on youth involvement in shaping the future of technology and urban development.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has stated that further details of "SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025" will be released in due course, leaving room for additional enhancements to the event's program and structure.
