Tokyo, Japan - The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will launch SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024, a month-long event aimed at showcasing Tokyo as a model for the city of the future.

The event, expected to attract 500,000 visitors, will feature three main programs: the Showcase Program for the general public, the Global Startup Program for companies, and the City Leaders Program for city officials.

The Showcase Program, which begins on April 27, will be held at four venues: Miraikan, Ariake Arena, Symbol Promenade Park, and the Umi-no-Mori area.

Visitors will experience the Tokyo of 2050, where nature and convenience coexist, through various workshops and attractions.

The Global Startup Program, Asia's largest global innovation conference, will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from May 15-16.

More than 130 speakers will participate in over 40 sessions, while a pitch competition, "SusHi Tech Challenge 2024," will feature 507 applicants from 43 countries and regions.

The event will also feature booths from over 400 startups from 47 countries, cities, and regions.

The City Leaders Program, scheduled for May 15-17, will bring city leaders from five continents to discuss urban issues and future initiatives.

The event will be held in a hybrid format at the New Otani Hotel and other locations.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government expects SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 to stimulate the growth of Tokyo's startup ecosystem, promote innovative solutions to urban challenges, and facilitate the implementation of advanced technologies in the city.
