Seoul, South Korea - LG Electronics announced the expansion of its webOS Hub platform to third-party gaming monitors, following previous rollouts to smart TVs and smart monitors.

The platform now includes features tailored for gaming, such as VRR 180Hz, which eliminates stuttering and tearing.

The updated webOS Hub offers connectivity options, including wired and wireless keyboards and mouse, DisplayPort, and USB-C.

It also introduces a Game Dashboard and Game Optimizer for easy game setting configuration and a Game card app for quick access to content, including cloud games.

The platform continues to provide streaming services and LG Channels, as well as music listening through the Card App Home Hub & Music.

Additional document handling and video conferencing features are accessible via the Home Office card app.

Acer's upcoming Nitro GS272U M QHD 180Hz gaming monitor will be the first to feature the new webOS Hub, with more partners expected to adopt the platform.

LG aims to expand platform usage on third-party smart and gaming monitors by offering high refresh rates, VRR, diverse connectivity, and content and productivity options.
