Berlin, Germany / Seoul, South Korea—LG Electronics (066570. KS) will introduce its ThinQ ON AI home hub at IFA 2024 in Berlin, featuring what the company calls "Affectionate Intelligence."

The device aims to be the centerpiece of a smart home ecosystem, connecting various appliances and IoT devices.

The cylindrical hub, powered by LG's AI chipset, learns from usage patterns to customize user experiences.

It supports voice commands in natural language and can autonomously monitor connected devices.

LG's ThinQ ON is Matter-certified and compatible with Wi-Fi and Thread networks.

The company plans to expand device compatibility after acquiring the smart home platform Athom in July.

The hub incorporates LG Shield, a proprietary security system that protects user data through encryption and secure storage.

Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company, stated that ThinQ ON brings the company closer to its "Zero Labor Home" vision.

LG will showcase the ThinQ ON alongside other AI home solutions at IFA 2024, which will take place from September 6th to 10th in Berlin.
