LINE Yahoo Boosts Productivity with AI Tool SeekAI

Tokyo, Japan — LINE Yahoo Inc. has fully implemented "SeekAI," an in-house AI-powered efficiency tool, for all its employees, the company announced on Thursday.

SeekAI utilizes Retrieval Augment Generation (RAG) technology to extract optimized information from vast document databases and generate responses. 

The tool references internal workspace tools and company data to answer employee queries concisely.

During its test phase, SeekAI achieved a 98% accuracy rate in customer support operations for the advertising business. 

The company has now expanded its use to all employees, updating settings to allow registration of internal workspace tool pages and data by department and project.

LINE Yahoo aims to reduce annual work hours by 700,000 to 800,000 by implementing AI-powered efficiency tools like SeekAI. 

The tool is expected to streamline various business processes across departments, including sales activities, employee training, and technical operations.

The company is actively promoting the use of generative AI, with 22 instances of internal and service applications as of July 11, 2024. 

LINE Yahoo has established contracts for all APIs provided by OpenAI, L.L.C., and has introduced large language models from Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services.
