Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Naver (KRX: 035420) has recently partnered with the Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) to develop an advanced traffic management system.

The objective is to enhance the country's transportation infrastructure and address the growing urban mobility concerns by using cutting-edge technologies, including AI, cloud services, and digital twins.

This partnership aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to leverage such technologies to create high-definition maps and sophisticated traffic simulation tools.

The initiative is expected to help alleviate the increasing traffic congestion in Saudi cities caused by recent infrastructure and residential expansion.

Furthermore, the collaboration will explore the development of a government cloud dedicated to SAPTCO's transportation systems, which will incorporate AI-driven solutions to improve the safety and efficiency of public transportation.

Possible innovations include deploying intelligent video surveillance systems utilizing Naver's CLOVA Vision technology for advanced facial recognition applications, including fare payment.

Notably, this partnership represents a significant technological advancement in Saudi Arabia's urban planning and mobility approach, aligning with the country's broader digital transformation and sustainable development goals.

During LEAP 2024 week, Naver also announced its collaboration with Aramco Digital, further emphasizing its commitment to innovation and development.
